Probability, Uncertainty and Risk in the Environment

This document presents a collection of case studies about quantifying and communicating uncertainty and risk from natural hazards. It is an outcome document describing the successes of the Probability, Uncertainty & Risk in the Environment (PURE) project. PURE aims to transform the way that uncertainties associated with risk assessment for natural hazard events are dealt with.

This report describes case studies on risk in the environment, the assessment and communication of environmental risk and using risk knowledge for decision making.
