This report looks at the record breaking snowfall experienced by the metro-Boston Region in 2015. By studying the cascading effects that the storm had on critical infrastructure systems, the economy, and residents throughout the region, a set of findings and recommendations were developed for communities throughout the nation that face similar risks.
The recommendations are aimed at emergency managers, infrastructure owners and operators, and decision makers from the federal to the local level. There are findings that should inform federal government leaders who are involved directly or indirectly in advancing infrastructure resilience.
