The full report of the ISDR Scientific and Technical Committee 2009:

The present report is the result of the effort to highlight the use of scientific and technical knowledge as an essential foundation for disaster risk reduction, and to make recommendations on key issues and priorities, including ways that specialist scientific and technical information can be more effectively adopted and put into practice.

The Executive Summary of this report was tabled at the Global Platform as Session Document 3 and the key points were presented in the opening Plenary by the Chair of the Committee.
