The SAFE STEPS D-Tech (Disaster Tech) Awards - created by Prudence Foundation and supported by Humanitarian Partner the IFRC and Technology Partner Lenovo - finds, funds and supports innovative technology solutions which save lives before, during and after disaster events.
The recent Covid-19 pandemic has made us all aware of how vulnerable the world is to the social, economic and health-related consequences of disaster events. The vital role technology is able to play in mitigating these effects on communities is increasingly apparent. SAFE STEPS was established to build more resilient communities.
The SAFE STEPS D-Tech Awards aims to harness the power of technology to help realise this aim. Together with our partners, we aim to provide a fertile platform to help technology solutions realise their potential in reducing the unnecessary loss of human life and the social and economic impacts of disasters and aid recovery.
The deadline is 19 February 2021.
