The government of Fiji and the IMF are hosting a high-level dialogue on enhancing resilience to natural disasters in the Pacific Islands, writes Changyong Rhee in an opinion piece on the Fiji Times. It aims to provide an opportunity to listen to different perspectives on challenges, share ideas on how best to address them, and to learn from one another.
Through good policies, technical assistance and lending, the IMF stands ready to work with Pacific Island countries with a complete toolkit and in strong collaboration with other development partners to help them overcome their development challenges and build a prosperous future.
Changyong Rhee is the director of the Asia and Pacific Department at the International Monetary Fund.
