ESCAP Trust Fund for Tsunami, Disaster and Climate Preparedness: Call for proposals
ESCAP is calling for project proposals to build and enhance tsunami, disaster and climate preparedness capacities, particularly in end-to-end early warning for coastal hazards.
The 2013-2016 strategy of Trust Fund for Tsunami, Disaster and Climate Preparedness has three main pillars:
1.Regional mechanisms
2.Special country needs
3.Civil society and business sector initiatives

Organizations that can apply:
• Governments
• Intergovernmental organizations
• UN agencies, funds and programmes
• Academic institutions
• Non-governmental organizations (not for profit)
Geographic scope:
Indian Ocean and Southeast Asian Countries:
Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Viet Nam.
Pacific Island Countries:
Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
Project duration:
Maximum 18 months.
