Call for applications to the 2014 ND-GAIN Corporate Adaptation Prize
The Notre Dame Global Adaptation Index has opened its call for applications to the 2014 ND-GAIN Corporate Adaptation Prize.
The ND-GAIN Corporate Adaptation Prize recognizes organizations that have made measurable contributions in creating resilience or adaptation to climate change. Prizes will be awarded to both multi-national and local corporations for projects that collaborate with local partners in a country ranked below 60 on the ND-GAIN Index. Winning projects will measurably decrease climate-related vulnerabilities by enhancing food security, water access, coastal protection, ecosystem services, human habitats, infrastructure resiliency or human health.
Criteria
Award recipients must be either a multi-national corporation or a local corporation working on a project in a country ranked below 60 on the ND-GAIN index and must include collaboration with local partners. Project applications will be judged on their measurable adaptation impact, scaleability (relative within their category – multinational or local corporation) and market impact.
The preliminary round of judging will be conducted by ND-GAIN staff. Semi-finalists will be judged by a panel of outside judges. The judges will vote on one (or more) winner for each category.
The deadline to apply is August 8th.
