Recent extreme weather events, such as Hurricane Sandy, are reminders that climate change should be brought into negotiations. Helen Clark, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme calls on member states to continue the binding climate change response that had already been started.
"All countries, including the United States, can act to head off the worst impacts of climate change, while generating new industries, jobs, and more sustainable ways of living. The need is urgent. There is no time to waste," Ms clark writes on the pages of Huffington Post.
