Country Representative of the World Bank in Nigeria, Marie Francoise Marie-Nelly, said a strategic framework would enable Nigeria address climate change issues, reports the Daily Trust. The Minister of Environment, Hadiza Ibrahim Mailafiya, said priority areas that Nigeria needs further support from the bank are the watershed management and land degradation issues, flood disaster and management. "We would also look forward to having some discussions and support on drought and desertification management and the consolidation of the environmental impact assessment unit."
