Having learnt lessons from the Jeddah floods of 2009 and 2011, Saudi provincial governors will join the World Civil Defense Day to draw on the experience and best practice of professionals all over the world. Backing the event, Crown Prince Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, calls for civil defense organizations to make thorough risk assessments, to plan and to train regularly in order to make sure that when disaster strikes, they will be ready to confront it.
