In this last in a series of articles for the Huffington Post on extreme weather events in the United States, William S. Becker discusses what communities can do to help themselves, "there are some things the federal government can do to reduce our risk. There's also a lot communities can and should do on their own."
He continues with the description of national and local actions administration, associations and communities can take not only to be safe but also to anticipate the worsening of extreme weather events, "if we build stronger and wiser communities, we might still build a stronger nation."
