As Thailand and other countries in Asia are reeling from typhoons and severe floods, global child’s rights organisation Plan International, UNICEF and other international development agencies are calling on governments in the region and around the world to help reduce the impact of disasters and climate change on children, their families and communities, says Mark Pierce, Regional Director, Plan International, Asia Regional Office in his opinion for the Himalayan Times.
