Conference targets disaster risk reduction measures for Asia

UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction Margareta Wahlström called for Asian countries to incorporate disaster risk reduction strategies into their respective national plans to help enhance readiness for responding to climate change, ahead of the Fourth Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, reports the Malaysian National News Agency.
