China’s recent earthquake was particularly devastating on the country's school children as several crowded schools collapsed into rubble. In recent years, it has been developing countries that have been most affected by such events. But experts say there are plenty of schools in western Canada and the United States and other wealthy countries that could similarly collapse someday from known seismic threats.
