Myanmar: Life is still a struggle six months after the cyclone

Since cyclone Nargis hit Myanmar six months ago, the population is still struggling to survive, relying mostly on aid organizations for food and supplies.

"Developing disaster resilient communities is a key priority and this will entail working with national and international partners through ‘Disaster Risk Reduction’ initiatives across all sectors" said Bishow Parajuli, UN resident coordinator.
