La Fundación Henry Dunant América Latina, nace con el propósito primordial de ser una fuente de apoyo en la valoración y la educación respecto a los Derechos Humanos y de la implementación de las políticas públicas en la vida social y cotidiana de las naciones de Latinoamérica.
Creada como una organización hermana y representante en la región del Collège Universitaire Henry Dunant de Ginebra, inicia funciones en el año 2006 y desde entonces ha trabajado de manera profesional e incluyente en el desarrollo de Diplomados Internacionales de Especialización que exploran áreas como los derechos sociales, económicos, culturales, además de entregar herramientas de formación en temas de género, seguridad alimentaria, medio ambiente y cambio climático y comunicaciones, temáticas que son vinculadas siempre a la promoción de una mejor calidad de vida y a la igualdad entre las personas.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
