Meanwhile in another development, following the recent militant attack on Abonnema Community in Akukutoru Local Government Area of Rivers State which led to loss of several lives and properties, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has donated relief materials worth millions of naira to the community to cushion the effect of the loss on the people.
The Director General of NEMA AVM Mohammed Audu-Bida (Rtd) said the relief materials were provided for the rehabilitation of the victims of the crisis. He noted that it would be impossible to replace the entire loss of the people adding that the agency was only supporting the people to restore their lost items.
The Director General noted with joy that life has returned to the community as against the time of the crisis and expressed hopes that the paltry gift from the government would be capable of rehabilitating the people to some great extent.
AVM Audu-Bida further urged the people to embrace peace for the development of the community.
