Pakistan: Climate change increasing incidence of floods states minister

An increasing in flash floods, due to climate change, could lead Pakistan to more droughts, stated Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi, Federal Minister of Environment, on the occasion of the 'Climate Change & Community' workshop organised by Oxfam Pakistan. These are the challenges the country would have to face in the next decades, he added.  “Natural disasters are closely linked to changes in climatic patterns, which must be taken into account while conducting development planning, including disaster management plans", the minister went on to say.
