Tropical cyclone operational plan for the South Pacific and Southeast Indian Ocean: 2006 edition
This publication discusses all aspects of the tropical cyclone operational plan. It includes chapters covering: General information, responsibilities of members, tropical cyclone information available in the region, broadcasting of tropical cyclone information to the public, communications, contingency plans, end of season procedures, and archival of data.
The objective of this Plan is to provide for effective coordination and cooperative efforts amongst Members* in the South Pacific and SouthEast Indian Ocean in order to improve the warning systems for the protection of lives and the reduction of human suffering and property damage caused by tropical cyclones and associated storm surges, floods and landslides.
