Haiti: a gathering storm
This report gives an insight into how poor people are experiencing climate change in Haiti and what challenges they are currently facing and will continue to face in the future.
Divided into six sections, it addresses climate change within the context of the past, present and future; environment and poverty in Haiti; floods and hurricanes; food security; disaster risk reduction; Haiti's National Adaptation Programme of Action (NAPA).
It provides key recommendations based on research undertaken in several parts of the country, from Belle Anse in the southeast, Nippes in the south, to Cap Haitian and surrounding communities in the north.
