Disaster risk reduction manual
This manual introduces the basic roles of each member of the community action team to move up the level of effectiveness and efficiency of work with local communities to become safer and more resilient. It is divided into five main units in 3 booklets, which provides the practitioner with the needed information and practical steps with will reflect – through the achieved results - positively on local communities.
The manual has been developed by the Disaster Management Unit in the Office of the Middle East and North Africa of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies as a result of the fruitful efforts and spirit of the joint initiative of the Working Group, consisting of a group of specialists in the areas of disaster risk reduction as well as experts in the field of gender to ensure that gender sensitivity while working with local communities and which is one of the important topics that are integrated with the tools that used by the practitioners while working in the field with local community.
