Malaysia economic monitor: smart cities
This document presents the Malaysian economy and states that natural hazards must be managed to mitigate social and economic consequences, as Malaysian cities are especially vulnerable to floods and landslides. This reports urges cities to have adequate systems to minimize the human and economic costs of disasters. To reduce the risks related to hazards, Malaysia may benefit from environmental restoration and integration of risk reduction into development planning.
