Stories of the impact of the International Disaster Response Training in Jos, Nigeria

Report of the international disaster response capacity building workshop:

This report outlines the six modules covered: (i) International Disaster Response (IDR); (ii) safety and security; (iii) first aid; (iv) disaster risk reduction; (v) seeds for sustainable change, a model for personal transformation; and (vi) HIST (Holistic Integrated Sustainable Transformation, an asset based model for community transformation). It presents three stories of participants having completed the training and reporting on the impact of the training, as well as some lessons learned, values and recommendations.
