Answers in the wind: learning from the chars
This document adresses indigenous knowledge for predicting hazards and low-cost approaches on early warning for household level preparedness. It captures cases studies aimed to facilitate the assimilation of existing techniques of forecasting natural events such as flood, riverbank erosion, drought and storm, in order for these methods to be replicated in other regions.
This document has been prepared under the 6th DIPECHO Action Plan for South Asia implemented by Islamic Relief Worldwide-Bangladesh working under the NARRI consortium. It has been produced with financial assistance from European Commission Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO).
