Minimum characteristics of a disaster resilient community in Nepal
These minimum characteristics are the agreed indicators for a disaster resilient community in Nepal which should be included as a minimum component in all 'Flagship 4' community based disaster risk reduction (CBDRR) projects. They were developed through a consultative process involving the Government of Nepal, INGOs, NGOs, UN, donors and Red Cross/Red Crescent movement. CBDRR projects are also encouraged to include additional indicators wherever possible.
Flagship 4 on CBDRR is one of the five flagships of the Nepal risk reduction consortium. It aims to develop consensus among the many organisations contributing to CBDRR across the country towards a common approach to achieve national targets and encourage greater investment for scaling up CBDRR in Nepal.
