Understanding the risk of flooding in the city: the case of Barangay Potrero, Metro Manila
This document highlights the holistic and integrated approach to resilience building and the importance of early warning information and systems. It seeks to help to better understand and address risks of flooding in the city.
The document is an output from a the Partners for Resilience project carried out in 2011 in Malabon City, Manila, funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the Netherlands Directorate-General for International Cooperation (DGIS) for the benefit of developing countries, which throughout an integrated and holistic resilience building approach to disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and ecosystem management and restoration, seeks to help people understand how things work and how best they can address their levels of vulnearability.
