The Yale Program on Climate Change Communication conducts public opinion and messaging research, using surveys, experiments, qualitative methods, statistical models, maps and participatory GIS, among other methods. The Program also conducts studies at the global, national, and local scales. Major projects include Climate Change in the American Mind, The Yale Climate Opinion Maps, and International Attitudes & Behavior. It also publishes Yale Climate Connections - an online climate news service and national radio broadcast. Finally, the Program helps governments, media, companies, and advocates communicate more effectively.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
