The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan hosted the “Impact of Climate Change and Fragility on International Security” roundtable seminar in Tokyo in January 2017, with three follow-up meetings with researchers, think tanks and involved NGOs in February and March 2017. This report is based on specific proposals from the roundtable seminar and the follow-up meetings.
This report aims to facilitate efforts by the Working Group on G7 Climate Change and Fragility to consolidate the relation between climate change issues and policy measures. The report provides a global analysis of human security risks deriving from climate change, as well as a socioeconomic analysis for the Asia-Pacific region.
