In 2018, the Yahara Lakes, Wisconsin, experienced widespread flooding resulting in millions of dollars of damage. This flooding prompted Resolution 2018 RES-227 by Dane County Board of Supervisors that requested convening a technical work group to evaluate and model various scenarios to improve resiliency for future events. This report provides findings from the technical work group.
In this report, the Integrated Nowcast Forecast Operation System (INFOS) is used to evaluate the delivery of water and how utilizing alternative strategies would minimize lake flooding in 2018.
