Understanding and increasing finance for climate adaptation in developing countries
This report explores the current state of finance for climate adaptation and proposes practical, near term solutions to both fill in knowledge gaps and to increase investment. It intends to provide a practical guidance to the state of the art in adaptation finance measurement, disclosure, and investment approaches, and to identify opportunities for stakeholders, especially developing country national governments, to fill gaps and drive investment in this important area.
In its last chapter (6), it also highlights the main areas of action and concrete measures that national governments in developing countries can take to facilitate increased knowledge and investment in climate adaptation. For more details, please refer to the pages 29 to 31 of the report.
