The International Network on Public Communication of Science and Technology (PCST) is a network of individuals from around the world who are active in producing and studying PCST. It aims to foster public communication of science and technology (PCST); to encourage discussion of practices, methods, ethical issues, policies, conceptual frameworks, economic and social concerns, and other issues related to PCST; to link practitioners of PCST, researchers who study PCST, and scientific communities concerned with PCST; to link those from different cultures and countries worldwide, in both developed and developing parts of the world, concerned with PCST; to provide opportunities for meetings, electronic interactions.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
