Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering and Disaster Management
Kanchanaburi
Recently, global environmental problems have become a crisis issue, especially due to industrial development and disaster from natural hazards. In response, the Division of Engineering at Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus, has developed an integrated program between environmental engineering and disaster risk management. This merger of two disciplines will enable knowledge application in real situations, in order to prevent and relieve the problems experienced by communities due to environment crisis, including disasters from human and natural hazards.
This integrated program focuses on both theoretical and applicable knowledge and graduates of the program will receive the degree of B.Eng. (Environmental Engineering and Disasters Management). This program aims to produce environmental engineers, who will have expertise in managing both industrial pollution and disaster risk from human-induced or natural hazards. The program is certificated by the Thailand Council of Engineers, which grants graduates a license of professional practice in environmental engineering.
Students may also choose to participate in co-operative education programs in order to work in the university's contact industrial factories or related organizations for one semester (approximately 4 months). This co-operative education program will help students to experience a real working environment by applying their own knowledge and social skills.
