Portugal: Relatório de progresso - Estratégia nacional de adaptação às alterações climáticas
A Estratégia Nacional de Adaptação às Alterações Climáticas (ENAAC) foi adotada através da Resolução do Conselho de Ministros n.º 24/2010, de 1 de abril. Em síntese, pretendia-se com esta estratégia aumentar a consciencialização sobre as alterações climáticas e os seus impactes, manter atualizado e disponível o conhecimento científico e, de forma integrada, definir as medidas que Portugal terá de adotar, à semelhança da comunidade internacional, com vista à minimização dos efeitos das alterações climáticas.
Neste sentido, foram definidos quatro objetivos para a presente Estratégia:
- Informação e conhecimento;
- Reduzir a vulnerabilidade e aumentar a capacidade de resposta;
- Participar, sensibilizar e divulgar;
- Cooperar a nível internacional.
Refere-se neste relatório como foram atingidos os diversos objetivos estabelecidos para a fase inicial da estratégia, identificando as vulnerabilidades e pontos fracos e realçando os pontos fortes aos quais importa dar continuidade
