Complex climate messages can often cause more confusion than clarity. This lighthearted exercise can open the space for an exploration of the effectiveness of seasonal forecasts and how to communicate them without oversimplifying the message. Players are required to pass on a seasonal forecast to each other, and the last person told the message must write it down on a piece of paper. By analysing the difference between the initial and final message, participants can understand how complex messages are transferred and how to better simplify and communicate their forecasts.
"Climate message" requires 10-100 participants and 10-15 minutes of gameplay. It is intended for all audiences.
