Several post-doctorate, post-graduate and PhD studentship research opportunities in atmospheric science available in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

Applicants are required to perform the following responsibilities:

-Research, design and develop wireless protocols and hardware systems for supporting data telemetry in the Sumatran GPS Array
-Documentation of all developments
-Experimenting with the new telemetry solutions
-Deploying the telemetry solutions for the GPS Array in Sumatra
-Assist in equipment procurement.

And should possess:

-Degree (research assistant) / Masters (research associate) in electronics/electrical/computer engineering or related engineering fields -Knowledge/experience in the following:
1. deployment of RF instruments and equipments, including satellite, cell and licensed/unlicensed band radios
2. electrical and electronics systems
3. networking principles (e.g. 802.11, OSI model, etc) -Experience in one or multiple technologies like RFID, USB, wireless systems (e.g. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee), I2C, SPI, UARTs.
-Some experience in Linux-based embedded systems development
-Willing to travel to Sumatra, Indonesia, on a regular basis for experimentation and deployment of the telemetry solutions
-Ability to speak Bahasa Indonesia or Malay will be an advantage.
