Background
Oxfam GB has been operating in Somaliland for the past 20 years. The programme’s experience relates to development programming in a pastoral setting, emergency drought response and pro-pastoralist policy development/influencing. The programme aims to build strong pastoralist organisations that can claim their rights, strengthen the resilience of pastoralists to drought and enhance pastoralist livelihoods.
Position summary
Currently, key programme focus areas are livelihoods using the value chain approach, disaster risk reduction, governance and humanitarian assistance to drought affected populations and IDPs. The programme collaborates with concerned government institutions in the design and implementation of its projects and invests in the capacity building of these institutions for better service delivery.
Oxfam GB is seeking a dynamic and an experienced Humanitarian Programme and Partnerships Coordinator to lead the development, management and delivery of Oxfam GB’s humanitarian programmes, and manage partnership relationships with government/public sector, private sector and civil society organisations.
