Professional researcher (postdoc category) with expertise in economics

Global Change Research Centre AS CR, p.r.i., is looking for a full-time employee for a position of a professional researcher (postdoc category) with expertise in:

- the economic impacts of the global change on society and ways of adaptation.

Job description:

The main scope of employment will be research and publication activities within the Global Change Research Centre, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, p.r.i., in order to capture the economic impacts of environmental changes in society, economic and social context of adaptation strategies at the level of both basic and applied research, including the evaluation of socio-economic impacts at local and regional level.

Required qualifications:

1. Duly completed doctoral studies at university in the CR (Ph.D.) or a comparable degree achieved at a foreign university, in the fields of economics, econometrics, environmental economics, mathematics and statistics, economic geography or other related fields.
2. Ability/experience in research in the area of socio-economic impacts of environmental changes on society on global or regional/local level, particularly in the field of quantitative (statistical) methods.
3. The ability of independent scientific work, including publication in journals with the IF.
4. Good knowledge of English language.
5. Capability of working with computer technology at a level usual for the position of a researcher.
6. Experience with the preparation of grant applications and/or implementation of research projects.

3. Succesful cooperation with leading foreign institutions or international organizations.
4. Realised interships at prestigious foreign institutions.
