Final Evaluation of three Child Centred Disaster Risk Reduction (CCDRR) projects in India, Nepal and Bangladesh (2011-13) – Save the Children
This call for expression of interest is to undertake a final evaluation of a three-year Child-Centred Disaster Risk Reduction programme (three interlinked projects) in South Asia supported by Save the Children Finland. Its overall objective is to evaluate the achieved results, implementation strategies and progress towards the project outcomes and document the lessons learnt.
Consultancy contract:
- Closing date for application: 6 pm GMT on Thursday, August 15, 2013
- Evaluation timeline: between September 1st and November 15th
- Length of contract: estimated 50 consultancy days in total.
The evaluation consultant will be selected based on the following criteria (consultant profile):
- Higher university degree in relevant field
- Proven experience in conducting quality evaluations and assessing capacity development projects
- Knowledge on Disaster Risk Reduction and Child Rights Programming
- Strong understanding of South Asia context, policy and advocacy work
- Good child and community participation skills
- Experience/understanding of Save the Children structures and strategy an asset
- Excellent English; knowledge of local languages an asset
