We are seeking an effective and creative communicator to improve our ability to generate and share knowledge on resilience to flooding.

The Zurich Flood Resilience Programme is an innovative five-year, $35m international alliance-led initiative. Community resilience work is delivered by alliance partners in field projects in flood prone locations in Indonesia, Mexico, Nepal and Peru. With research and advocacy conducted by the alliance to capture lessons learned and generate knowledge on flood resilience for sharing at global scales.

We have created a new post to catalyze knowledge sharing between the alliance partners: Zurich Insurance Company, the Z Zurich Foundation, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Practical Action, the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) and the Wharton Risk Management and Decision Processes Center.

The postholder based at Practical Action in the UK, will travel to and work with the member organisations linking practitioners, researchers, experts and academics to make sure the programme maximizes it’s potential for generating knowledge. Activities will include running the online community of practice and e-newsletters, sharing and capturing lessons and running evaluations.
