Background
RMIT is a global university of technology, design and enterprise. The RMIT School of Architecture + Design is a multi-disciplinary design school that sees design practice as an agent of cultural change within an increasingly complex and cosmopolitan world. They emphasise the activity of designing as research and understand research as an integrated component of scholarship.
The School of Architecture and Design has recently launched the new Master of Disaster, Design and Development Program (MODDD). This first of its kind program provides a global learning platform connecting students with industry developments, area specialists and current practices. The program delivers specialised knowledge and practical skills drawn from a range of practitioners, academics and industry leaders such as International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) and UN-Habitat on disaster simulations and projects.
This Master of Disaster, Design and Development sits within the discipline of Landscape Architecture at RMIT, as a new addition to a suite of programs including the Bachelor of Landscape Architectural Design and Master of Landscape Architecture.
