Early Warning System (EWS) and standard operating procedures expert

Knowledge / skills in the field of:
a) disaster risk reduction (DRR) measures and in particular in the EWS;
b) standard operating procedures for EWS;
c) Italian civil protection legal framework;
d) international legal framework for DRR;
e) risk governance;
f) international frameworks for DRR and adaptation to climate change (CCA);
g) the physics of floods phenomena;

Experience in:
a) floods forecasting and/or monitoring systems;
b) relations with institutional actors of the civil protection system and the cycle of disaster risk management
c) operating procedures relating to EWS;
d) technical guidelines;
e) national and international disaster risk management (DRM) and DRR projects.

Requirements:
• Master's degree.
• Excellent knowledge of English and Italian
• Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad
