This symposium seeks a more resilient Houston region by discussing what to expect if a Hurricane Ike-sized storm makes landfall south west of Houston, especially with new growth in low-lying areas. Sessions will discuss risks and vulnerabilities, structural and non-structural mitigation options, and coastal and public policy issues.
