Appropriate options for recovery and reconstruction – learning from South Asia
This meeting will look at how to contextualize regional knowledge to suit different contexts of rebuilding in Pakistan. With a long history of facing disasters, the region has a pool of successful models, which the organizers feel would be appropriate to mainstream, and bring to a place where they can be practised within the context of Pakistan. It also aims to bring together success stories from the region itself, so that this rich knowledge can be used along with local learning and capacities, to generate policy discussions and compile practical guidelines.
