The event's purpose is to share a variety of ideas and concerns regarding climate change adaptation especially in Australia. It explores options to empower the community to adapt to the challenges of living with climate change and climate variability and reduce risks of negative impacts.

- Kate English, Lecturer Climate Change Science & Policy Uni of Sunshine Coast & Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE. 25 years’ experience as a public policy analyst, lecturer and private sector sustainability consultant focusing on climate change, natural resource management and energy conservation in US & Australia.
