Joint conference: Global Spatial Data Infrastructure 14th world conference and AfricaGIS 2013 Conference
AfricaGIS is the largest regularly occurring GIS conference in Africa with participants from the entirety of the continent. The selected theme of the conference is "Spatially Enablement in Support of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction." The pressing needs of African nations, their citizens and the needs of economically disadvantaged nations generally are a particular emphasis of the conference and include such concerns as:
