As part of a collaborative project between Quezon City (Philippines) and Earthquakes and Megacities Initiative (EMI) to develop a local disaster risk reduction and management plan (LDRRMP), a two-day workshop will be organized for hands-on exercise on integration of DRR-CCA in land use planning for Quezon City's technical planners and other technical staff.

Quezon City is the second largest city in the Philippines and the largest within Metro Manila in both land and population, with a population of about 2.7 million people. The City has gone through Phase 1 of the LGSAT. The results are being reviewed as a learning process to structure the agendas for Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the LGSAT. The findings and recommendations from the LGSAT will be integrated in the LDRRMP.
