The town of Exeter, New Hampshire is working with a team from the University of New Hampshire and the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve to create an adaption plan for climate change based on the perspectives of Exeter residents. Community engagement begins in Spring 2013 with a series of neighborhood discussion groups followed by full public meetings with all stakeholders invited. Ultimately, the team will help Exeter create a flexible, science-based plan to address the intensifying impacts
of storm water runoff, flooding, sea level rise, non point source pollution, and habitat change in the context of a changing climate. The team will evaluate, document, and share the process for the benefit of other coastal communities facing similar challenges.
