Education, skill and awareness for building resilience among people at local level has been the mission of Saritsa Foundation for past 14 years. India presents a contrasting scenario of a very high level of achievement and excellence in education and capacity building for disaster risk reduction, yet, education at local level to mainstream people for prevention, mitigation and preparedness is very low among a large section of population who are also the most vulnerable socially and economically.  Saritsa Foundation is committed to raise awareness and prepare people to develop "safety culture" as part of each individual's duty and accountability to be resilient.

To this end, Saritsa Foundation has developed capacity building training modules to reach to local people. Participants will be educated with practical training with mock drills to learn to respond to disasters and use local resources, experience and expertise. Participants will be guided to make village as well as family and societal disaster management plans.
