NatRiskChange brings together scientists from the fields of geosciences and mathematics, to tackle challenges of instationary and transient systems. Our goal is to train outstanding young scientists in an interdisciplinary manner that will enable them to explore the complex structure of transient hydro-meteorological or geo-physical events. A strong collaboration among the following participating institutions is intended: the hosting University of Potsdam, Freie Universität Berlin (FU), Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), Helmholtz Centre Potsdam German Research Centre for Geosciences GFZ as well as the external partners TU Vienna, VU Amsterdam, Deutsche Rück and Munich Re.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
