Rapid Response in India is celebrating the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015 in collaboration with Disaster Risk Reduction Network (DRRN) of India. Rapid Response and DRRN are working in different parts of the country on Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction projects.
For International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, we are conducting activities at the national, regional and community levels, including:
- DRR awareness campaign, which will distribute and display DRR materials and posters.
- Promoting the success of Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction - A Revolutionary Project in Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
- At community level, essays and painting competition will be organised in schools.
